Dear reader of “The A Game: Great Moments in the History of Alabama Football” we are pleased to bring you a special and exciting opportunity…

Rick Rush’s “The Crimson Wall”, completed in November of 2009, captures the emotion, the grit, and the determination of Alabama's defense as it rose as one to block a last-second Tennessee field goal attempt and preserve a 12-10 victory. When the ball deflected off huge Terrence Cody – forever known as Mount Cody – it became the pivotal moment in Alabama's drive for the SEC's Western Conference Championship as well as moving one step closer to realizing the dream of a potential 13th National Championship. The crucial game with the Vols came down to one play and only a handful of seconds on the clock. As Tennessee's kicker said, "All I heard was boom ... boom." The second boom belonged to Alabama.

“What makes this play so special – so remarkable, is that Alabama wasn’t spared by a missed kick. They blocked it. It wasn’t luck, it was determination. Alabama denied Tennessee. Alabama’s defense built a wall that Tennessee couldn’t penetrate, and all the Volunteers could see was a wall of Crimson between them and the goal post – that is why this is historical. That is why I painted this piece and that is why I entitled it THE CRIMSON WALL.” – Rick Rush

There were only 262 giclees produced (200 + 62. The 62 reflects the number that is on Terrence Cody’s jersey) and each is available for $495.00.
